I didn't took any video at the killing fields because it was too sad, deep condolences for the victims yet its a must visit place.
Not much that i can do with this video because many raw videos were gone in way back home/corrupted memory card.
Glad to answer any questions about Cambodia on the comment section
or you can ask me here :)

Monkey Eats Plastic || Peucang Island Part.2

The sun was shining bright, we've ate our breakfast at 8. Iyan's came to our place just to reminds us about Cidaun tour. He said that in Cidaun we could see wild bulls but we must hurry because twas already their breakfast hours, which is 08.00, and after that they'll having their lunch at around 13.00-17.00.

Sadly...

we've came at 09.25 , the bulls were already gone hiding 'em self.

here's a lazy starfish, lets pretend that it's a wild bull

The tour were continued with Tanjung Layar tour. Precisely 2 hours was spent to reach the old holland cemetery and the lighthouse. Funny thing, this not so small island only inhabited with 2 peoples. They are in charge of the lighthouse. I can't imagine the horror situation they must deal with over there, clearly breathtaking.

 This (another)lazy spot

 This broken lighthouse

This trails to the broken lighthouse

Okay so, after we've done with all the things that we can do back there at Tanjung Layar, we are going to do snorkeling. Too bad, another small and stingy jellyfish came out again to ruin our day!
Even they aren't there, the underwater views wasn't that good either.

Back to the Island, we are joining the locals to play some football, hanging out in a laziest mode ever and cooked our meals. Concludes that this Peucang Island was meant for a-lazy-time-and-place-to-chit-chat-with-your-bud-getaway-on-a-remote-island trip. pardon me, that not even rhymed.

We've sailed home the day after at Sunrise. Nice trip!

Solitude has caught our souls // Peucang Island Review Pt. 1

Peucang Island, Ujung Kulon

Prologue

It's already dawn at Jakarta, Y & V has done packing their stuffs in. What are they doing? Is it a getaway? Yes, they are preparing for a trip to Peucang Island in Ujung Kulon with Y's college friends. They have finished their thesis defense.

Time was showing that it's almost 6 PM, off they go!
Starting point was from a kinda popular tech university in West Jakarta, using the freeway and jump out at Serang Timur's freeway gate in about 2 hours. Without knowing any guide, they are depending on others review in google. They found Komar, a Sunda Jaya's guide (+6281806181209), trip organizer for Peucang. It's already 1 AM, but he's still on and agreed to met them. Stopped at his guest house, the travelers were sleeping over.

DAY 1

At sunrise, Komar's showing up to tell them about the bill they have to pay before the trip. It sums up like this in IDR:

Description IDR
Boat 2.800.000
Guide/Chef 300.000
Room 600.000
Official Ticket 200.000
Cidaon Tour 135.000
Karang Copong tour 135.000
Tanjung Layar Tour 180.000
Small Boat 250.000
Snorkle 200.000
Parking Fee/day 200.000

2 Nights and 3 Days Total:  5.400.000

Divided with 9 peoples, sums up around IDR 600.000/pax. Komar has said that we came at the right time because it was a Wednesday morning. Many tourists has gone home. Peak time are on Weekend which sometimes tourist that hasn't booked their place like us can't rent any room at the island. At 7.34 am, Y & V were already set on the boat and sailed away.

DON'T TIE ME MR. GREY! oh wait, you're not.
"Seats"
Views from the roof ----- before getting burned.

It's a 21 x 4,5 meters boat with engine room and captain at the middle. Y & V was on the front of the boat with options to be seated at the back. The sun was hot, but it didn't really felt that way if we hide under the shade of the roof.
Those lovely calm ocean amazed us for 3 hours until we've arrived at the Peucang Island.

The Dock!

The beach scenery was that great, so calm and beautiful. The sand was very soft and clean. The water is clean. Y can't hold those temptations. He ran into the water without thinking twice, but suddenly he felt something! Y came out and saw some small dots on his skin. Turned out that he was stung by tiny jellyfish, not harmful, just itchy.

Tempted 'eh?

When the travelers going to explore the island. Iyan, our guide, said that Peucang is filled with wild animals such as monkeys, deer and hogs. So we must be cautious with our things if we're going to do snorkeling. Another thing, we were ordered not to bring any plastic bags because the monkeys will lurk and trying to steal it.

Animals - No, not maroon 5 song

Soon after that, the travelers took a sunset tour at Karang Copong. I forgot exactly how far the distance was, but the single trip took us around 45 minutes from our villa and an hour to get back because twas dark after sunset even with flashlight on our hands.

"It just like mother nature is showing us her true face."
V, 29.10.14

(Star) Trekking

Believe me this was sooooooo hallucinating (no we don't use drugs-at that time)

Checkpoints!

"Lemme jump! Lemme jump and dieded!"
Y before being slapped by V

Back to the room, it's already 18.50. Everybody was starved. Even we've got a chef on boat, but we preferred to cook our dinner together. Our decision was right, it's more fun and satisfying!

The electricity can be used only in 18.00 - 00.00 so we are using shifts for charging our devices. There are a WiFi at Peucang, you can just ask the resident for the password because it's free. WiFi usage was following the electricity policy, no signal after 00.00 .

Actually this policy is awesome, urged us to enjoy the nature without distracted by phones yet still giving us the chance to tell our family the status of our trip.

The night is calm, only sounds of our laughter and waves could be heard. This is a perfect getaway!

next post, Day 2.
